Museumland was originally conceived by Prince Albert, husband of Queen Victoria. London Buses

London Taxis (Black Cabs)
London Transport Information
London Buses

One of the most recognised symbols of London are the old red double deck Routemaster buses (the big red buses), but nowadays is not easy to see them.  Today, the necessity of redeveloping the bus fleet has as a consequence the production of new vehicles that offer wheelchair accesses and more comfortable seats, but they don't have the traditional red colour. If you can find a seat, the bus trip it's a comfortable and nice way to see London.

London Taxis

London's distinctive taxis, black cabs, are as much a feature of city life as its red double-decker buses. Like the buses, black cabs are also being modernised and many are now painted other colours with advertising.

London Underground

The London Underground is the most used method of transport in London.
It has 273 stations, each one with the underground sign, and 12 lines.  It is the cheapest and quickest way to get around town. It can however be complicated, here we try to give you the information you need to be able to travel easily on this comprehensive system.

London Trains

London is the hub of the UK’s rail network, with frequent services to all corners of the country from the city’s nine centrally-located mainline railway stations. Rail services in the UK are run by a set of private train operating companies. Your point of departure will determine the best service to take and your station of arrival in London.

London Famous Stores and Shopping
Along with Paris and New York, London offers probably the best shopping experience of any city in the world. Indeed, visitors to the capital are often overwhelmed by the sheer range of goods available. However, whilst shoppers are spoilt for choice, there's also a feeling (justified to a point) that London stores charge over the odds in comparison to their overseas counterparts. What's more, in recent years debate has raged between retailers, consumer groups and the Government over claims about the country being "rip off Britain".
