Cancelled only in extremely bad weather. Other Changing of the Guard
ceremonies take place at Horse Guards and St James's Palace.
Changing of the Guards daily at Buckingham Palace at 11:30 (alternate dates
in winter); "Ceremony of the Keys" at the Tower of London (apply for tickets
to the Ceremony of the Keys Waterloo Block, H.M. Tower of London at least 2
months in advance); "trooping the Colour" takes place at Horse Guards -
June; "Royal Tournaments" at Earls Court - June/July; Opening of the Royal
Courts of Justice - October; Lord Mayors Show , Remembrance Sunday and State
Opening of Parliament - November. Royal Salutes are fired for Royal births
and birthdays and the accession of Sovereigns. Salutes are also fired for
important events and the visits of foreign Royalty - fired in Hyde Park by
the Kings Troop, Royal Horse Artillery; at the Tower of London by the
Honourable Artillery Company.
