Radisson Mountbatten Hotel
Description:
At the apex of
Seven Dials in Covent Garden, with Soho, Trafalgar Square, Oxford Street
and Leicester Square on your doorstep, stands the four star deluxe
Radisson Mountbatten Hotel. The mood is calming, adult and
understated; public areas feature Silk Chenilles, 'Leopard' hide chairs,
Phillipe Hurel chocolate leather sofas and a collection of framed
Japanese artefacts. The 151 air-conditioned bedrooms are designed for
comfort and pleasure with bespoke furniture, designer fabrics and the
latest technology making them ideal for both the leisure and business
traveller. The Dial Bar and Restaurant overlooks Seven Dials and plays
host to major West End first night parties.
The
Restaurant:
See and be seen at the Dial
bar and restaurant located on Seven Dials in the centre of fashionable
Covent Garden- with its tall glass windows, it is a must for people
watching. The Dial is rapidly becoming London's hippest venue popular
with media and advertising clientele and host to major West End first
night parties. The interior is restrained yet luxurious, a classic
contemporary mix of chocolate leather and aubergine velvet, deep sofas
and sleek wenge tables.
The Dial restaurant serves contemporary British cuisine, interpreting
great British favourites. Leading this revival in contemporary British
cuisine is award-wining Chef, Craig Williams who has trained in some of
London's finest restaurants.
Bedrooms:
The Mountbatten's rooms have
all been ergonomically designed to give guests a clean, clear and
comfortable space to make their own. Bedroom furniture is in rare dark
Wenge wood, Italian leather and metal chairs, Percale cotton bed linen
and bespoke wall coverings. Bathrooms are clad in Sicilian carrara
marble with Jacob Delafon suites. Everything is designed to make you
feel special. Security is high with CCTV throughout, and floor access is
by room key only. The Mountbatten's eight suites have triple aspect
windows, which overlook Seven Dials.
Each suite is unique and glamorous with designer furniture and fabrics
from Pierre Frey and Zimmer and Rhodes. Relax listen to your favourite
music or films with our Bose sound system and DVD player. Each room
features European plug sockets, advanced telephone systems with modem,
analogue and digital telephone points and personal telephone number with
voice mail. 'In hotel' mobile phones are available on request.
Local Attractions:
Covent Garden, Royal Opera
House, West End theatres, St. Martin-in-the-Fields, National Gallery,
Charing Cross Road, Soho clubs, bars and music venues, British Museum.
Never mind the tourist traps in the old Covent Garden market, spend your
time around Neal Street (don't miss the Cheese Shop in Neal's Yard) and
Floral Street where Paul Smith sets the tone. Hip, happening fashion
everywhere. St. Martin-in-the-Fields is London's most loved parish church
- a masterpiece by James Gibbs. Refresh your spirit. Step inside at
lunchtime for a Bach or Mozart recital and if you enjoy this, check out
St. John's in Smith Square. You are in Soho to bar hop. Start at the
bustling White Horse in Marshall Street, then head West to the three big
streets - Dean, Frith and Greek. Finish at the scruffy, noisy Dive Bar
under the Kings Head in Gerrard Street.
