The famous
Melia White House London hotel has completed a major £30 Million
refurbishment program and was re-launched in Spring 2002 as one of London's
leading 4 star deluxe hotels, it has an impressive marble lobby with a
contemporary black granite reception desk. Appealing to clients who are on
business or leisure, the central location allows easy access to the business and
entertainment districts.
This
hotel's 581 guestrooms mix classical and contemporary elements, with Doric
column lamps, black and gilt-coloured moulding, and brass bedside reading lights
wall-mounted on fluted wood. Air conditioning has both wall-mounted and separate
bedside control units. All rooms have mahogany work desks and UK-, US-, and
European-style electrical sockets. Marble-and-granite bathrooms have phone
extensions, hair dryers, and magnifying mirrors. Other amenities include pillow
menus.
