Le Meridien Waldorf
opened in 1908 and is synonymous with all that encompasses traditional
hotel style, elegance and service. This charming Edwardian building is
conveniently nestled between the bustle of
Covent Garden and the hub of the financial district. Situated in
the heart of Theatreland, guests at Le Meridien Waldorf have easy access
to London’s most
famous theatres and are within walking distance of Fleet Street, the
London Eye and Trafalgar Square.
Le Meridien Waldorf benefits from a
leisure centre that truly distinguishes itself from hotel's local
competitors, with a 13.6 metre indoor pool, which is framed with marble
pillars to state of the art gymnasium facilities.
An exciting £22m
renovation has recently begun at Le Meridien Waldorf
with planned completion of the entire hotel by the end of 2003.
Work is taking place in stages and at times of the day (between 10:00 am
and 12:00 noon, and from 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm) that ensure guests are
unaffected by the activity.
Essential work is being carried out on the guest lifts between 9:00 am
and 5.00 pm Monday to Friday. The staff lift will be available during
these hours and will be dedicated to guest use. No work will be carried
out early mornings, evenings or on weekends and one guest lift will be
available during these hours.
The
Brasserie
- located
in the former historic Minstrel Suite, is an informal restaurant,
serving breakfast seven days a week. Afternoon tea and lunch being
served in the Brasserie Bar.
The Bar
- during the current hotel refurbishment, the Bar is located on the
Aldwych and offers an international range of proprietary brands and is
open until the early hours for resident guests. |
