It was built as a private house in 1851 by William Chinnery Mitchell. The current family owners are his direct descendants, and still enjoy living and working in this beautiful area to this day.
The Georgian House Hotel was established in 1950 and now occupies three adjoining houses in St George's Drive, a stately and elegant street, and one smaller house in quiet and pretty Cambridge Street.
There is an elegant reception room to relax or meet friends, and this is stocked with plentiful brochures and leaflets about what's on in and outside London, and how to get about. Reception is manned 24 hours a day with the use of CCTV for guest security. There is an internet access point in this area available for guest use for a small charge.
The hotel is completely Non-Smoking.

Restaurants:
Breakfast is served in our pretty garden breakfast room. Help yourself to a buffet of fruits, cereals and fresh coffee, and then order the full cooked breakfast from one of our cheerful staff. We use top quality ingredients: best back bacon; and fresh tomatoes and mushrooms and country eggs. When available, the eggs come from the family farm where the hens are free-range. The restaurant serve delicious Musks sausages, which are a favourite of the Royal Family.
The hotel does not have a wide choice of cooked breakfasts. This is because each breakfast is freshly cooked to order for maximum quality, with the minimum waiting time for our guests.

Bedrooms:
Singles, doubles and family rooms have compact and practical en-suite showers or baths and toilets. The rooms at the Georgian House Hotel have direct dial telephone, colour television and a complementary tea and coffee tray. They are also fitted with individual safes (£1 charge per night) and security locks.
